The Mityana Charity

A Christian charity dedicated to helping the people of Mityana

About the Charity

Since the early 70's a variety of different projects have been set up to help the people in Mityana. These projects were independent, and uncoordinated.  The charity was established in 1997 to unite the various activities and thereby maximise their effectiveness.

Winchester Diocese has a special relationship with Uganda since the time of Bishop Taylor.  He split up his deaneries, so that they could support and assist the various Dioceses in Uganda.  The Whitchurch Deanery in the Winchester Diocese supports the Mityana Diocese.
