Val is passionate about supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged people to improve their life chances. She currently Chairs a charity providing youth clubs and adventure playgrounds for young people in one of the most deprived boroughs in London. Val became involved with the Mityana Charity in 2018, sponsoring two children and a grandmother. Visiting Mityana in February 2024, she was blown away by the amazing impact of the charity and to see just how much its support means to the children being sponsored and the schools and communities for whom the charity is providing new facilities and clean water.
