Collaboration with partner schools extends beyond sponsorship to encompass infrastructure development initiatives such as classroom construction, provision of furniture and reading materials. Efforts are made to provide additional facilities including latrines, drinking water filters and handwashing amenities. Provision of menstrual education to both boys and girls has been a recent development.
Currently, PaCT partners with over 25 schools, including notable institutions such as St. Noa Kiyinda Mityana, St. Anne Primary School, Kalangaalo Primary School.
Nabukenya Primary School
Nabukenya Primary School was founded with significant contributions from the late Ann Potts, one of the Mityana Charity’s strongest supporters and pioneers, whose efforts were honoured by naming the school after her Ugandan name, “Nabukenya”. This name was given by the former Anglican Bishop of Mityana Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. Dunstan Bukenya, in recognition of her dedication to community development. The construction of the school was made possible through the support of parents and students from Blucher and Orange Houses at Wellington College in the UK. In 2017, the school was officially handed over to the Mityana Diocese and continues to thrive as a fully operational educational institution on church land. Currently there are over 350 students at the school.
