With the support of the Mityana Charity, a partner organisation was established in Uganda to carry out activities funded by the Mityana Charity. This became a register Ugandan charity in 2008 known as the Mityana (Uganda) Charity. In 2018 this organisation became an NGO and was renamed Partners for Community Transformation (PaCT).
PaCT employs community-based approaches which involve a broad spectrum of stakeholders especially local leaders, children, youth and women, with sustainable community structures. Under the leadership of Geoffrey Kinaalwa, Executive Director, PaCT has built a strong reputation and gained acceptance, especially in Mityana and surrounding districts, as a local organisation which has expertise in designing and implementing a wide range of projects. As well as implementing projects funded by the Mityana Charity, PaCT has also been successful in gaining national and international funding for projects associated with the provision of clean water and human rights.
